We design, build, and pilot Mars rovers from Dhaka to the Utah desert — competing at the University Rover Challenge on the global stage.
ARC Rover Team is the flagship rover division of AIUB Robotic Crew — a student-run engineering group building autonomous, science-capable rovers to compete internationally and push Bangladeshi robotics forward.
GPS-denied terrain traversal using computer vision, LiDAR mapping, and obstacle-aware path planning.
On-site soil analysis and life-detection instrumentation built and calibrated entirely by our science team.
Precision payload transport and equipment servicing tasks that simulate real astronaut-support scenarios.
A dexterous robotic arm engineered for fine sample collection and tool operation under mission constraints.
From a small group of curious students in 2014 to Bangladesh's first internationally-competing rover team — here's the trail we've left behind.
ARC founded by a small group of AIUB engineering students.
First promotional rover demo and prototype chassis built in-house.
Selected among the world's top teams for the International Rover Challenge — first Bangladeshi entry.
South Asian Champions — regional title secured ahead of the finals.
Best Autonomous System Award — first Bangladeshi team to win a URC category.

Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE, AIUB
Dr. Zahir has guided ARC since its early years, mentoring students across mechatronics, photonics, and embedded systems. His research spans assistive robotics, sensor systems, and optical communications — several of which have directly shaped ARC's rover instrumentation and navigation design.
Associate Professor & Head, Dept. of CoE, AIUB
Dr. Hossain supports ARC with academic guidance and mentoring. His research interests include wireless communication, power electronics, renewable energy systems, smart grids, and telemedicine, and he also serves as an advisor to the IEEE AIUB Student Branch.
Faculty of Engineering, AIUB
Sadman Shahriar Alam supports ARC Rover Team with academic guidance and mentoring. See his AIUB faculty profile for his full designation, research interests, and publications.
Four interdisciplinary units working in sync — from embedded systems and mechanical design to autonomous software and science payloads. Click on a team leader's portrait to meet the members.
We're looking for curious builders across software, electrical, mechanical, and science — no prior rover experience required, just the will to learn fast and build things that work under pressure.
